2010 Gewürztraminer Dead Man's Hill Vineyard
Hand-picked on 11th and 12th March, the fruit was selected from vines grown on deep soils without irrigation, from Rows 1-26 of the Dead Man’s Hill vineyard at Mansfield, 500 metres above sea level. The amber-rose fruit had good natural acidity, with lychee and rose-petal notes and the must was fermented cold to retain the vibrancy of the fruit aroma. The length and liveliness of the flavours on the palate are matched beautifully by the tang of the wine’s acidity.
