2010 Pinot noir Rosé Burder's Vineyard
Not intending to add to our range at all in 2010, we had the opportunity to have some pinot noir grown by the Burder family up on the top of Whitlands, just north of Mansfield - the flavours of the fruit were lovely and although the colour extruding into the juice was not strong, we thought we could do something interesting with it! So we picked a tonne, crushed and fermented it in situ at the vineyard and treated it carefully - the result after fermentation and racking off lees is a delightful pinot noir Rosé. Only 60 cases were bottled at the end of November. It is a delicious drink for Christmas and over the summer of 2012.
