2011 Late harvest Riesling Barwite Vineyard
The fruit was picked carefully by hand from Rows 55-70 of the Barwite Vineyard on Long Lane, south of Mansfield, following a cool and difficult wet period. There is a purity in the aromas of cumqat and mandarin, with tones of meadow flower blossom overlaying the citrus. The cold fermentation was halted towards the end, leaving some residual sweetness and this, combined with the delicate flavours and zingy acidity, makes it such a delicious and lip-smacking wine.
