2009 Sauvignon blanc Gumbleton's Vineyard
The first fruit to be harvested for our vintage this year, the grapes were hand-picked on 4th to 6th March from selected rows of vines grown on the Gumbleton’s vineyard at Booroolite, south of Mansfield. The juice showed strong flavours of guava and banana-passionfruit, the depth of character lending itself to oak. A portion of juice was barrel-fermented and remained on lees before blending back, lending complexity and savoury qualities to
the wine.
