2010 Tempranillo Cowan's Vineyard
Hand-picked on 1st March from low-cropping vines in Rows 85-96 of the Cowan’s vineyard at Lima South, the fruit was crushed to 1 tonne open tubs where it was fermented for a week, then left on skins for 5 days. The rich scents of autumn fruits and ripe plums carry through to the palate, which after 14 months of aging in 1 and 2 year old French oak, is round and warm with fine grained tannins.
