A lively and delicious wine, made from grapes hand-picked in early April from rows 100-103 of Baxendale’s vineyard in the Whitland Hills.

 

Showing flavours of gooseberry and guava with herbaceous notes, about 15% of the juice was barrel-fermented in new French oak puncheons and lees stirred for three months before blending back, contributing great complexity and texture to the lively fruit flavours of the wine. 

Production: 420 cases. Alc 13.0% pH 3.3 TA 7.15g/l Resid 3.5g/l

2017

Made from grapes hand-picked in early April from rows 101-103 of Baxendale’s vineyard in the Whitland Hills, the wine shows aromas of gooseberry and guava with herbaceous notes. A puncheon of barrel aged 2016 Sauvignon blanc was blended back with the 2017 vintage, contributing great complexity and texture to the lively fruit flavours of the wine.

 

Production 250 cases. Alc 13.0%
