2016 Merlot
A supple wine with a rich purple colour and lush flavours of ripe mulberry and plums made with fruit was grown at Timbertop vineyard. A wine with great concentration of flavour and velvety tannins, which was matured in French oak puncheons. Halliday 90pts

Hand-picked from the Timbertop vineyard, 565 metres above sealevel in the northwestern slopes of Mt Timbertop. Crushed to open tubs in mid-March, the fruit had excellent balance for the warm vintage and was fermented for 12 days, hand plunging regularly to aid colour and tannin development, before pressing off skins to finish secondary ferment and maturing for 14 months in 1 year-old (60%) and seasoned French oak puncheons.
